Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder, Wellview

As a visionary, disruptor, and inspirational team builder, James is the co-founder and CEO of Wellview, Inc. He believes people want to be supported, not managed. He is passionate about creating sustainable value for all stakeholders. James’ leadership at Wellview is the culmination of his expertise in employee benefits, his passion for helping health consumers access value-based care, and his track record of successfully growing businesses. In serving as CEO, James ensures execution of the company’s mission to simplify healthcare by inspiring, empowering, and impacting lives.

James’ business experience and interest spans across many sectors including government relations, retail, banking and financial services, insurance, and healthcare. After building and selling his employee benefits insurance business to Regions (NYSE: RE) in 2012, James was recruited as a turnaround operator to Achieve Medical Weight Loss, a retail clinic business with locations in the Southeast. He led Achieve to a successful exit in 2016. James went on to co-found Wellview, Inc.

Today, James remains active in the Nashville and Atlanta communities. His involvement has included membership and board seats with Junior Achievement, The Phoenix Club of Nashville, Boys & Girls Clubs, Cumberland University’s Business Advisory Board, Nashville’s Top 30 Under 30. James lives on Signal Mountain in Tennessee with his wife, Jena and their three daughters. He values a life where passion and purpose intersect with opportunities to serve.
