Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Fidelity Employer Services Company

Ed Madden is Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Fidelity Employer Services Company (FESCo.), a division of Fidelity Investments, the largest mutual fund company in the United States, the No. 1 provider of workplace retirement savings plans and a leading online brokerage firm. He is responsible for the development of business for all Fidelity companies with major institutions worldwide. He has staff responsibility for sales, client services, investment management, and human resources outsourcing services for Fidelity institutional companies globally.

Mr. Madden joined Fidelity in 1983 as Executive Vice President and Director of Marketing for Fidelity Management Trust Company (FMTC), a position he held until 1987. Mr. Madden rejoined Fidelity as Executive Vice President of Fidelity Management Trust Company (FMTC) in 1994. He assumed his current position in 2001.

Before rejoining Fidelity, Mr. Madden was Senior Managing Director and Co-Founder of the Chemical Investment Group Ltd., which consolidated eight firms worldwide under Chemical Bank in New York City. Prior to 1983, Mr. Madden worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., for five years, as Senior Vice President and Group Executive. Previously, Mr. Madden spent 14 years with IBM in various sales and marketing management positions.

Mr. Madden received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Yale University in 1962.

Mr. Madden is a member of Harvard University’s Kennedy School’s Business and Government’s Leadership Council, and the Russell 20-20.
